I play a key role in supporting the City of Oshawa’s Recreation Services branch by developing external marketing materials. Over the years, I have led large-scale projects focused on promoting City programs through the activeOshawa recreation program guidebook. I also develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies through channels including social media, paid media, newspaper ads, and printed signage. Utilizing Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Canva, I design engaging graphics with accessibility in mind.

Periodically refresh the guidebook, looking at ways to improve usability and design. Above are just a few pages I have redesigned.

Above are just a few graphic designs I’ve developed for City of Oshawa.

Recruited to the City’s Website Redesign Committee to modernize the website and improve user experience. Designed new icons, page banners and webpages. Use the slider arrows above to see the City’s recreation homepage before and after the website redesign.

Throughout my photography journey, I have undertaken various photojournalism projects. One notable experience was my expedition to South Africa, where I had the privilege of photographing wildlife for a non-profit organization. Some other projects included a photo series with Capital Current, shedding light on Ottawa’s vibrant nightlife and photographing Ottawa’s used book stores and the dedicated owners who continue to navigate the challenges of an increasingly digital market.
Through these diverse projects, I have honed my skills in capturing compelling visual narratives and showcasing the stories that unfold within each frame.

I had the opportunity to cover various events taking place in Ottawa, producing compelling stories that captured the essence of the city’s vibrant culture. One notable project delved into the chilli-head subculture in Ottawa, uncovering the passion and dedication of individuals drawn to fiery culinary experiences.
I also collaborated with Carleton University’s Co-op & Career Services department on an informative video series called “CuGoodToKNow,” where I took charge of editing videos and adding graphics using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
